Is Jubako a File Format?
No. Jubako is meta-container format.
Each application define its own file format based on Jubako
What Is the License of Jubako?
Jubako and Arx are under the MIT license. Other projects are under their own license.
Is Jubako Ready to Use?
Well, it depends your use case.
Jubako format is not (yet) stable. Compatibility in time is not guaranteed.
However, Jubako is stable enough to be used in a day to day bases. I personally use it to :
- Convert from tar or zip and mount Arx archives. It help me to explore (big) archives painless.
- Data transfer and cache management. Everywhere recreating the archive is ok or part of the process.
- Embedded content, where the reader is embedded with the archive.
